My name is Charles, I live in Dracut Ma. On Sunday 3-25-06 I went to hannaford supermarket in Dracut Ma. I parked in the lot and before I got out of my car a shopping cart owned by the store struck my car causing a large dent.Iwent in the store and told the manager who came out to take pictures. I was called the next day by the manager who told me that the cameras in the lot recorded the cart roll down the decline in the lot about 12 spaces away and strike my car. I was told tuff luck by this manager and the same by the corporate office. The body shop estimated the damage at about 1200.00 dollars. Quite a price to pay for being a loyal customer to store who describes itself as a good corporate citizen. I wonder if the runaway cart hit a child or an elderly person causing injury they would tell them to go away also. I feel people should and will be informed of the way Hannaford has elected to handle this situation. I just want my Car fixed. It could happen to you.
