Acclaim Financial Services Acclaim Financial Services March 29, 2006 My husband applied for a discover card and was denied. We pulled his credit report and saw there was an outstanding balance due to Acclaim Financial Services for a pager he canceled in 2001. We called to ask for a bill since he has not received any contact from Acclaim. The lady, Kelly Brock, whom answered the phone was nasty. She stated that he could either pay the bill or have bad credit. I called their 1-800 number to try to get the name of Kelly Brock's superior ( the lovely lady that answered the phone). She would not give me a name nor another number to call and kept saying bye bye and hanging up. Kelly then decides to dial my 1-800 at my work (she has caller id at Acclaim) and ask to speak with my superior and tried to have me fired. Now I work at a well known firm in the Tampa Bay area and they practically laughed at her. Is this a way to handle a business? First, no contact from them and we can not even get a bill from them and then this lady thinks she can get me fired because I want the name of someone above her. I just pulled my credit report and I have a balance with these people of $40 that's damaged my credit score. How did you get in touch with them? I called the number on my credit report, and there's a disclaimer that states the number is no longer in order.
