I called to place an order for a new Canon 30 D SLR digtital camera, 100-400 zoom lens, flash, and accessories. Spoke with "Scott." He talked me out of both the Canon lens & Canon flash I wanted, and recommended Sigma flash, and a new 70-300 zoom (which it turned out was a Sigma facsimile also, but he never told me that.) The total for the order was approximately $4000 which I charged on a credit card. After doing some additional research, because I was suspicious about the substitutions, I discovered that the lens was in fact not a new Canon product at all, but a Sigma. I then called back to cancel the order (about a half hour after placing it). "Scott" was not happy and said, "you do know that there is a 10% cancellation charge, don't you, so are you sure you want to go ahead with the cancellation?" (By law one has three business days to cancel any business transaction, so what do they think they are pulling here?) I promptly cancelled the transaction, notified the credit card company immediately about this sham, and would warn people to steer clear of this outfit.
