What is it about the plant shop Rush Industries that they cannot get it together? How can they stay in business if they do not deliver what they promise?
I purchased Royal Empress Trees from them in the spring of 2005. The arrived and then died. When I followed the return process [after several phone calls to make sure I was doing it correctly] the returned product apparently never showed up to where it was supposed to be [I believe I was told it was not sent to the correct address]. After many long distance phone calls they email they will ship a new set of trees out. In their words
Please be advised that a reshipment has been requested for you. The reshipment is at no additional cost. We apologize for the delay and we thank you for your order. Sincerely, Rush Industries Customer Support (516) 741-0346
Suffice it to say I still do not have my trees. When I emailed them again to ask when the trees would be shipped, their response on March 12, 2006 was -
Please be advised that your order will not be shipped until the fall planting season. These trees are not available during the summer, due to the hot wheather. Thank you, and we apologize for the delay. Sincerely, Rush Industries Customer Support (516) 741-0346
As we can all see the fall planting season has come and gone. So today March 29, 2006 I make the long distance call to ask about when the trees will be shipped. When I get someone on the phone after ten minutes of being placed on hold I hear the awful words of I can see no record of a reshipment request. She then concedes to place the reshipment order in now and it should be sent out within the next week however this shipment will not be guaranteed. Why this shipment cannot be guaranteed I do not understand.
I am guessing that if this is the way they do business they must not have to many repeat customers. If only they was a big sign on the web page saying they do not have any sort of customer service then I could have saved myself the time and money. I think if I add up the cost of my phone bill and the cost of the original shipment I could have bought a full size tree at a store in town. Better yet I could have just ordered from another company I used to order from. I have had wonderful results with the stuff from Michigan Bulb and they have a wonderful guarantee process and customer service.
