We bought this after we thought we won 500 dollars of groceries. LOL it was a coupon scam. But the vacuum is disgusting to heavy to pull around the cord to short to keep from unplugging in twice or three times per room, it wont pick up a dry piece of macaroni with the brush attachment for floors. The whole vacuum is not with any one with weak hands of the slightest arthritis. You cannot use this vacuum. This is the worst my hubby and I have been taken in our 30 yrs together. I would not recommend this vacuum to any one and no edge cleaner! I will give it to any one for a new Tyson, like the one I traded in for this poor excuse for a vacuum.

My husband was also a salesman of sorts, so we got ours for 900 dollars. I have to say that I love this vacuum! It doesn't have a funky vacuum smell and it picks up anything. My asthma has improved significantly since we bought a MM were as that was not the case with every other vacuum we've had. However, I'm 25 yrs old so the weight doesn't bother me, but I do see how it would be inconvenient for seniors or people with joint/pain issues. I was so impressed w/the vacuum cleaner I bought it, "talked him down" to $1600 (the discount swallowed the shopping spree). I really like the vacuum cleaner. One thing he pointed out was that you don't get that disgusting vac. cleaner smell, and I was getting that with an Oreck I had recently bought (didn't like the upright). He was right. No vac. cleaner smell. Oh yeah -- I traded my Oreck in to lower the price too. In the end, it was VERY expensive. I'm sure just as good a vac can be built for, say, $600, but I do think it's a great machine. I also feel taken because I found the same vaccum in a store for 2100.00 dollers less. these damn salesmen and pressure they put on people From: Message Author (click here to email author)Date: Monday, 06-Jul-09 02:37:50 CDT Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This Comment On ThisI have to say I bought a miracle mate in 1999 from a door to door salesman, I didn't have to listen to them, but I chose to and have not regreted it for 11 years. I have been looking for another vacuum just to have an extra one. I cannot find one that is near the quality of this machine. It is so strong and the suction is fantastic. I don't think it can be replaced. but I am a clean freak that likes clean floors. charlene in the midwest. I have one and I love it! I did do a little research before signing anything, and I also considered paying it off within 1 year, which I did! So if you are complaining about this great machine, stick it where the sun don't shine! You folks don't know Jack! As a person who has bought products in the state of Colorado door to door, there is no law stating that you can not go door to door selling. In some towns they do not wish for people going door to door, the only thing they can do is ask you to leave. I know the person who they are complaining about, and he is a good business man. He has been selling vacuums in this area for 28 years; he is not some "traveling salesman". If he had originally taken these people why did they let him show them a different vacuum cleaner? And in fact when you spoke to the president of Patriot, he would have told you that the Patriot sells for $2,795.00 so by know means were the people taken. In fact the president of patriot probley didn't tell you that the salesman quit his company to sell the miracle mate, because he thought it was a better machine. This man has sold hundreds if not thousands of vacuum cleaners in your area over the years and has many satisfied customers. In fact they are not the patriot customers, they are the salesmans customers. They bought the product from the salesman not the company. In fact did you ever try to return the machine???? There is a law when you buy anything in the home you have 3 days to return the product; its in writing on the receipt that was given to the buyer I'm sure. Did you even contact the salesman? Cause it dose not sound that way. And why are you complaining and not your parents? Just because someone is in their 80's dose not make them stupid. Did the president of patriot tell you he is almost 80? Yet he knew what he was doing, didn't he? Oh and bye the way there are many people who buy vacuums even though they do not have lots of carpet, people do have furniture and hard floors that need cleaning. Its been my experience that some children do not want there parents spending money causes the kids look as if it there inheirentce that they are using. I'm sorry you feel that your parents were taken, but I don't think the salesman from Whitewater would have done that. And if they are concerned about their health, I'm sure it helps to have a good vacuum to keep there home clean. So I don't think you will have much success with the DA. Thank you, Friend of the salesman from Whitewater Colorado. Because Miracle Mate does not want your complaints on their "independant distributors" and becsause these salesmen were using Patriot's customer base to sell this joke of a machine, I contacted Patriot to see what they could tell me about the men. Within 24 hours I had a reply from the Patiot company and with in another 24 I was speaking to the president of the company. The president of Patriot Home Defense Systems was very polite and helpful. He has made arrangements to help my parents with this matter for which I am very thankful. He did not have to do this and was certainly under no obligation to anything. The Patriot is by far a superior product as is the integrity of its president. I still say, BEWARE OF TRAVELING VACUUM SALESMEN, but I would recommend Patriot any day. The saleaman used a great deal of pressure to sell them a Patriot vacuum priced at $2000.00. Besides the fact that it is illegal to sell that type product door to door in the state, my parents are in their 80's and live on a fixed income. They could not afford such a rediculously priced machine and they only have carpet in a few rooms of their home!! One year later, the same guy, showed up again. He showed them an extremely loud Miracle Mate Platinum. Told them it had a "medical quality filter", whatever that is, and for only $1200.00 more he would sell them this superior machine. They told him they weren't interested. He kept guilting them by saying "isn't your wife's health worth it?". They finally gave in and paid the guy. What kind of low-life scum would prey on elderly people like that!!!! He obviously picked up on the fact that they were concerned about their health and took them advantage of them not once, but TWICE. When we called the police, we found out he doen't even have a sales license. The manufacturers of both these products claim no responsibility for their "independant distributors" as they only provide the products. BEWARE OF TRAVELING VACUUM SALESMEN!! This guy is a crook. We are currently filing a complaint with the D.A. From: Message Author (click here to email author) Date: Tuesday, 18-Mar-08 16:34:55 CDT Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This |
