Complaint on non-receipt of mail-in refund for Olevia TV purchased at Boscov's Complaint on non-receipt of mail-in refund for Olevia TV purchased at Boscov's March 29, 2006 Purchased: Olevia 20" LCD TV from Boscov's Department Store, Binghamton, NY on 12/23/05 The store advertised a $100 rebate. I mailed it in the day after purchase (12/24/05). Rebates usually come in 8 to 10 weeks. I waited three months before calling the store. The store tells me it was a manufacturers rebate and they can't do anything about it. They gave me the phone number for the company. I called - the phone rang for multiple minutes before a person (not a phone system)answered. I stated the problem, and she entered my ZIP code in her computer, asked my name, and found me in the computer. She smoothly said Accounting knew about it, and would process it within two weeks. She was really nice - almost too nice like she answers this question multiple times a day. I have yet to see a check though. After seeing the other complaint at this website, I may take more aggressive action with the store. Unfortunately, I did not keep a copy of my rebate paperwork. I may be out $100, I guess it was false advertising on the store's behalf if Olevia has a track record of not fulfilling rebates.
