We bought a Samsung fridge freezer less than a year ago. A few months ago the fridge started making loud noises and the temperature went off. We eventually got the engineer to come out (after several attempts where we had time off work and they did not turn up), the engineer told us it was the fan so he ordered a new one. This was fixed about a week later. We had the same problem 3 times, each time we experienced the same problems with the engineers. We also had some really rude staff speaking to us on the phone. Eventually the problem was diagnosed and it turned out to not to be the fan but the panel on the back of the fridge. We have lost endless days off work, not forgetting the amount of food we have had to throw away, so we decided to write a letter of complaint to samsung. We were told we could not have a new fridge unless the fridge broke a fourth time, and they were not able to compensate us with any loss of food etc., we are disgusted with the service we received and will never buy any samsung product again. We have a Samsung American style fridge freezer, which is 4 years old. The fridge half stopped working on Christmas day. I first reported it to Samsung 'out of warranty' on Dec.28th 07 and 3 more calls later, I have heard nothing from their engineer. I think the engineer may have died and not notified them! Utterly useless. This fridge cost a small fortune, but Samsung don't give two hoots. I would not recommend any Samsung product, as the back up care is so poor. Not only that, but no one else can touch the appliance as Samsung as so difficult about supplying parts.

Same here , these samsung american style fridge freezers have a major problem with the cooling fan and they have a manufacturing design fault , try telling that to samsung.

Over the christmas our fridge freezer for the second time started to make loud noises and did not give the correct temperature. All our food spoiled .The samsung service is the worst I have ever seen. They will not admit that this fridge freezer has a design fault. We ended up putting ICE into the fridge to keep it cool. People DO NOT BY A SAMSUNG FRIDGE FREEZER as you will be sorry.
