BMI Citi bank Flight Offer

FLIGHT OFFER I recently took up the offer of a CitiBank BMI credit card while waiting in East Midlands Airport on the premise of free flights from any UK BMI airport to any BMI destination. Both a friend and myself took up this offer as we were told we would be entitled to a free flight and we used Alicante as an example. I received the card, used it as instructed, received the email and followed the link. I am unable to find a flight at any time from East Midlands to Alicante between the 1st October and 31st March, except a few outward bound flights at the end of January, but unfortunately there were no return flights any time around then. We were sold this by a representative and given the impression that availability would not be a problem. It clearly is although by going onto the normal BMI site flights are freely available at most times, but not free. I initially called Citi Bank on 08700 10 76 20 I was told it was nothing to do with Citi bank and it was BMIs responsibility to provide the flights and given a number to call 0871 2240224. I called and spoke to Benji and his manager Peter McQue who both informed me it was not BMIs promotion and I should speak with Citi Bank. They gave me the number 0870 3338927. I called this and spoke with Sabita and her manager Danny. I was told that Citi cards provided the credit card and that I should speak with BMI. I feel that someone should take some responsibility for this and not simply pass me from one to the other. Before writing back to me telling me I should contact someone else would you please speak with each other and let me have a name and number of someone who can deal directly with this. I would inform you that I have also written The Office of Fair Trading with a copy of this letter together with both BMI and Citi Bank. I look forward to hearing from you very soon. Thank you Dean
