DVD's explaining relationships

June 29, 2006

Hello associates at complaints.com,

I have a complaint I wanted to file about a shady businesswoman. It is now June 29th, 2006 and on June 17th, 2006 I ordered 2 DVD's regarding dating advice from a woman who hosts a talk show in the Los Angeles area called The Art of Love whose name is LUCIA DEMASI whose website is TheArtofLove.net in which she writes columns explaining the dynamics of dating. I started to feel that something was suspicious when by June 27th I had not received my merchandise, nor did I receive an email confirmation of the shipment, which I've come to know as STANDARD BUSINESS PROCEDURE. I also found it suspect that I ordered merchandise from other companies AFTER I ordered my DVD's from the company Lucia is associated with which by the way is called HEAVEN ENTERTAINMENT and still received my other items and was e-mailed shipment confirmation in which I didn't receive from Lucia. So on evening of June 27th, I emailed Lucia at the e-mail address provided to check the status of my merchandise in which I included my name and receipt of purchase number, and my email was not returned when I checked the following day which was June 28th. So at that moment, I decided to call my credit card company to get a telephone number to contact Heaven Entertainment (since there was no number provided on the site.) So they gave me the number to PAYPAL, which isn't Heaven Entertainment, but is the company that handles their financial transactions. I told them of Lucia's failure to ship my merchandise and her refusal to answer my e-mails when I inquired about the status of my merchandise and they told me the best thing to do was to file a dispute through them, which is Paypal. The dispute stated that me and the seller, Lucia, had to resolve this in 20 days or less or else the dispute would be closed unless I wanted to escalate it to a claim, in which they would investigate it and take matters into their own hands. In my dispute, I stated to the seller, Lucia, that this was a real simple issue and that I just wanted my merchandise. When I checked today, there was

still no response from Lucia and at that moment, I decided that I would escalate my dispute with Paypal to a claim against Ms. Lucia Demasi. I stated in my claim complaint that I no longer wanted the merchandise since I had to go through hell just to receive it and explained that I felt her business practices were shady and that I deeply felt that she had no intention of sending me my merchandise or returning my emails so therefore, I just wanted her to credit my account so that this issue wouldn't have to go farther than necessary. A few minutes later, guess who emails me?

It's Lucia claiming that she wasn't aware that the order was placed and that if I still wanted the items, she would send them to me if I told her which ones they were or if not, that she would just go ahead and credit my account.

Nowwwwwwwwww all of a sudden she e-mails me once she starts to

feel the heat. If she TRULY was unaware of the order, why didnt she initially respond when I e-mailed her with my name and receipt number? She just didn't want to send the merchandise, that's all that was. Then has the nerve to act as if she knew nothing of the order....that's a load of crap! I'm convinced that had I not of put pressure on her and escalated my dispute to a claim, that I would've never heard from her and that she would be nowhere to be found. So I emailed her back stating that I was no longer interested in the items and that she should just go ahead and follow her latter suggestion which was to credit my account. I also contacted my credit card company to notify them of Lucia's fraudulent and elusive activities and they stated that they would put a hold on on the transaction and send me

paperwork to fill out regarding this incident. I was pleased because even though I may get the money back when this case is settled, the point is that I shouldnt of had to go through all this in the first place. I also wanted to make my credit card company aware of Lucia & Heaven Entertainment to make it easier for the next purchaser who comes along who has desires of buying her merchandise. I also want to inform Complaints.com of the incident just in case

future customers want to check the history and reputation of a merchant they wish to purchase from and am also in the process of informing several other organizations of my experience. And as far as having an EXACT ADDRESS for Heaven Entertainment, I was unable to find such information, but I was able to find a telephone number for PayPal which is the company who handles their financial transactions which is (402) 935-7733 and they're located in Ohama, Nebraska. So on that note, thank you for your time and I hope you take my complaint into consideration. Have a good

day.
