I like others was charged for AOL service without the benefit of a message or a call.

I had installed the free trial and then uninstalled it within a week thinking this would not

obligate me, until I got my recent bank statement and saw the charge for TWX AOL service.

 

When I called to cancel (waited 10 minutes to get a live person), the service representative then tried to get me sign up for more services. I kept saying "no thank you" and she kept trying. Then when she said she was going to transfer me to a department for confirmation of my cancellation, my call was disconnected. So I had to call back and wait another 8 minutes before getting someone. When this person came on, I told him "I just want to cancel the service and I don't want any free trials, free offers, free nothing". This representative kindly gave me my confirmation number for my cancellation.

 

You would think after their most recent fiasco with the service representative being plastered all over the news, they would just accept a person's wish to cancel. But that would be too easy wouldn't it.
