A friend of mine has tried to cancel her monthly subscription to AOL for her broadband service she has kept her aggrement of the minimum 12 month contract and when she tried to cancel her direct debit from her bank to AOL the bank refused to do so...however when she also tried to cancel her AOL account with AOL themselves she felt pressured by customer services into keeping her account....ive though of contacting OFCOM in the hope of some legal way we can get her account closed , ive also heard of numerous people trying to get their accounts with AOL closed with basically the same results....surely if a customer keeps their aggrement of a 12 month mandatory contract then after that period if a customer wishes to leave that aggrement then they should be allowed to do so
