Vons / Pavillions grocery store

June 16, 2006

I I just returned from the Pavillions on Olympic and Beverly Drive and want to complain about the attitude of the manager. I shop at this location 3-4 times a week as does my husband so we are good customers. It just appalls me to see the lobster tank at this store which seems to have the same tired, non-moving creatures in it with their claws taped in murky water. I asked what they fed them one day and they told me it was against the law to feed them. Well, today I decided to talk to the manager hoping maybe they would do away with this babaric treatment of an animal. He was most hostile, and then told me that lobsters don't need to eat!!!!!! Have you ever heard of that absurdity? When I questioned this statement he replied that he was not going to "debate" this issue. I am also in sales and I would

never talk to a customer like that no matter what the situation. I would lose my job. His name was Chris and his last name was Isecki or something like that. It was about 3 pm. I hope this letter gets

some action.

Sincerely,

Suzanne

I was looking for somewhere to post a complaint against Pavillions on Olympic and Beverly Drive and I found this page. This is one of the most ill-run markets I have come across in a long time - it is a crummy market for any neighborhood, let alone Beverly Hills. Pavillions should be embarrassed to run such an establishment. The shelves are not stocked, nobody knows anything, most times there isn't a "manager" available. I was there last week, looking for a cabbage. The produce was tragic looking. I found someone who said the produce person called in sick - so there was nobody to tend to the produce all day. I will never go there again. I feel dirty when I leave that market. Not a pleasant shopping experience.

You are kidding me right? Those lobster are meant for consumption and are essentially bugs of the ocean. Lobsters can survive for months with out food, and are fine for several weeks, no issue. Stop fighting for oceanic roaches and champion a decent cause. I'm sure Von's is operating within FDA guidlines and if not, the health inspector will handle that. As far as the manger, goes, if he was rude, don't shop there, but your attitude leads me to believe you were not being as polite as you should have.
