It is disheartening and very sad to note that Standard Chartered Bank is harassing customers by way of unethical business practice and unprofessional attitude by duping and cheating customers by falsely committing at the time of applying to your Credit Cards. Please note that I was told at the time of applying for “add on Card” that it will be Life Time Free card. But to my surprise I received a statement showing annual charges for my “add on card”. On contacting call center two-weeks back; I was informed that only Main Card is Life Time Free and Add on Cards are chargeable. Further the call centre officer asked me to wait for couple of days so that he can check this with his manager and get back to me. As I did not receive any response from SCB bank, I called up call centre again on 11th June 2006 to know the status. I was told that add on cards are chargeable and I have to pay for it. I regret to have a relationship with Standard Chartered bank and decided to close my Credit Card account upon receipt of my latest Statement as I don’t want have relationship with unprofessional organization and cheaters.
