Old Dominion Freight Old Dominion Freight July 14, 2006 I ordered a piece of furniture to be delivered by Old Dominion Freight in northern New Jersey. After giving me a four hour time window (8am -12pm) for which I took time off of work, I was forced to call them at noon when they had not yet arrived. At that point, they told me that the actual time window was 9am to 5pm, and that the person who had originally scheduled the delivery was wrong. After some discussion during which I had to push them significantly as I needed to leave shortly after 1:00 for an appointment, I was told that it would be there in 30 to 45 minutes. At 1:00 I was forced to call again. It then transpired that despite the fact that I had told them I was waiting at home for the delivery, they had left the chair downstairs without bothering to either call me or knock on my door. I then had to call help to get the chair to my apartment, as the dispatcher told me the driver was gone. They were unable to provide me with any explanation as to why they did not att! empt to either notify me that they had arrived or bring the chair to my apartment.
