Chrysler joins my list of GARBAGE CAR MANUFACTURERS!

July 14, 2006

Congratulations to CHRYSLER! They have just earned my GARBAGE CAR MANUFACTURER OF THE CENTURY AWARD for outstanding crap assembled at ridiculously high speeds in sweat shops all across Canada and parts of Mexico and the U.S. This outstanding achievement is particularly important because the 2005 Chrysler Town & Country (silver, if anyone cares) 3.3L V6 that I financed last year, is just comming apart at the seams! (well, almost at the seams). Here is small list of the things that have gone wrong with this D-TOW (offcial acronym for Death Trap On Wheels) since day one: 1. Forward/front engine mount, apparently, just cracked in half, with no prior warning, replaced under new car warranty at dealer. 1a. Serpentine belt was changed for squeeking. 2. While at dealer for #1, dealer noticed sway/stabilizer bar mounts/links were out of spec., dealer replaced sway bar links and TIGHTENED them. 3. Noticed red fluid dripping from underneath carriage, upon further inspection, ATF+4 fluid was leaking from main steering gear on rack and pinion unit, unit was replaced at authorized dealer. 4. While at dealer for #3, dealer noticed a problem with water pump, water pump also changed at the same time. 5. Front right wheel brake pads wore out prematurely (before the front left set did) and began to grind, the early warning tab did not make contact with brake rotor to warn of excessive brake wear, after changing both sets of front pads (and brake bleeding), grinding noise was a contant problem afterwards, until, magically, the grinding STOPPED on its own. 6. When van is cold-started, a tapping can be heard for about 2 seconds, just enough time for the valves and lifters to be covered with motor oil, there must be a leak somewhere because at the last oil change, it was at the proper level, that oil change was about 1000 miles ago on Castrol Syntec 5W-20 API Service certified oil as per Chrysler engineers in the owners manual. 7. Blower fan under dash began to make a loud rattle sound for a few days when operated, then magically STOPPED. 8. Driver and passenger side windows make creaking noises when raised. This vehicle now has about 19,500 miles on it. This vehicle is ALSO my last Chrysler. Make sure you don't fall into the trap yourself, go Japanese if you can. That way, YOU won't be awarding Chrysler with another OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT AWARD like I did! VIN# 2C4GP44R85R467657
