These people called our store three times, trying to "give away" free magazines. The lucky recipient just had to pay an exhorbitant shipping fee each week for the free mags. They were talking to our employees while they were working on the clock. The employees were told that the call was corporate sponsored, so one of our underaged girls thought she had to agree to pay for the shipping. When I confronted these vipers on the phone, I was told our employee had legally agreed to buy their merchandise. Funny how "free magazines" became "purchased merchandise". The employee was even coerced into giving them her personal phone number. Luckily she doesn't have a credit card, or they'd have that account number, too. When I asked the very rude solicitor for her full name and the company's phone number, she hung up on me. How can a disreputable operation like this stay in business?
