We live as our residence in Zephyrhills Fla. We go to Guilford NY on vacation every year to our vacation home sometime in May thru July.On 5/26/04 we purchased a 42 " Craftman riding lawnmower with hydrostatic rear end.it was used 1 time a week during that time in 2004 which was about 8 times. 2005 the same. this mower is completely garaged while we are back in Fla.This year my husband did not arrive there til May 30th. When he went to use the mower on June 1st it did not want to move properly forward or backwards He called the store in Oneonta NY were we purchased it and the warranty had run out 5 days before. Said fo r$ 99.00 they would send someone out to look at it my husband was not at that point ready to pay more money for something that should have lasted more than 16 or 18 uses.We are very dipleased with the item we are stuck with and can't use. and makes us think twice about using sears products. We did not buy the extended warranty as we are not there to use it much and should have lasted us for quite a while.Any suggestions?????or is customer service letting us down too?
