As I write this, I stand in complete shock! Having just received my tax information from our accountant, to our dismay, shock, and complete disbelief, we paid $9,000.00 in NSF's to Bank of America in 2004. Keep in mind, these are TRUE Non Sufficient Funds Fees attached to checks that were presented to our account with not enough funds to cover all the checks at that given time. VERY IMPORTANT: We have been concerned about Bank of Americas practice of paying the largest check first, and returning several small checks tacking on $34.00 per check, racking up hundreds of dollars in NSF fees, rather then saving the customer by returning just one check, be it large, and charging only one $34.00 NSF and paying all the other checks when there is plenty of money in the account to cover 10 small checks versus 1 large check. ALSO..even when a deposit is made one second past the cut-off time, good intentions obvious to assure funds in the account right, Bank of America refuses to honor that good intention. They charge the customer gladly. B of A made over $9,000.00 off of my little family. Can you believe it???? I am appalled, upset, and disgusted by these unethical banking practices and I don't know what to do about it. $9,000.00. $9,0000.00!!!!!!!! That's a lot of money. Please point me in the right direction. I would seriously like to know if I have a chance to be reimbursed for this outrageous racking up of fees. We are small business owners. Please write me. Advise me. Point me in the right direction to someone who may be able to help me get some of that back! Respectfully, Susan
