Cerritos Pontiac GMC Hummer in California sold a car from under neath me! Cerritos Pontiac GMC Hummer in California sold a car from under neath me! September 7, 2005 My wife and I found a car on the autotrade web site that was posted for sale by Cerritos Pontiac GMC Hummer. We contacted the dealership to see if they still had the car we were interested in purchasing. I spoke with the salesman and he informed me of the price and what kind of deal he could offer me if I were to agree to the price that day which I did as soon as he told me. I called my credit union got the fax number where the dealership could fax the purchas agreement to called the salesman back and wound up playing phone tag for a couple of days finaly we spoke and got everything squared away, but we could not agree if we were suppose to pay the taxes in California or in the state where we were at. So in order to get the deal started he sent the fax with the taxes, title and registration fees all in the purchase agreement. We found out that if you do not drive the car off the lot that you don't have to pay the taxes there. So we decided to have the car shipped to our home. We let the salesman know that he needed to change the figures on the purchase agreement and refax it to our credit union and that we were on our way to complete the purchase sign the papers and do what needed to be done. We got to the bank he still had not faxed the paper work so we called, he said I'm doing it right now they will have them in a few minutes. Needless to say they never got them and we could not get a hold of him either. He called me back later that afternoon and said that they would be faxed the next day go ahead and schedule the transport to pick the car up on tuesday, so I did and paid for it up front . Monday was a holiaday so the bank was closed, so I called them on tuesday to make sure everything was recieved ok.Suprise nothing got sent! So I called the salesman which he then informed me that the car had been sold on monday to another party and that he was sorry! Over the weekend I sold my wifes car since she had a new one going to be delivered in a few days. So now we are out a car pluse the price of the transport and all they can say is they are SORRY! Which is right they are SORRY, a SORRY dealership that does not care about their customers. So don't purchase a car from these guys if you can help it and really don't do it if you are trying to buy one from off the Internet because you might wind up getting taken to the cleaners for more than you think.
