We purchased a new Cherolet 2004 2500HD Duramax approx. 1 year ago. We have 30,000. miles on it and are having Injector problems. GM doesn't want to cover them because they are not reading a code back. The Mechanic has been explaining to them 2 injectors are bad so they are agreeing to replace the two. However, they should all be replaced. GM has replaced all Injectors on previous years and or extended the warrany to 200,000 miles, still, it is very hard to get the warranty work covered. Our truck has been blowing black smoke and has a ticking noise. It doesnt' have the power either. It does this on and off. It also has a turbo leak. We have had it in to several different shops and they all say that is normal, it is not! We have finally found a mechanic to replace it under warrany. Also, we were told by GM not to add the additives to the tank for lubrication. The more I read on these complaints, other's have been told to add it. We also have been told the 04's have not had the injector problems. Just want to get the complaint out here so if there is enough they will have to recall and place all injectors and extend the warranty.
