Thought I had a good buy for an inexpensive DVD recorder purchased at a Walmart.

The problem is that if you record a DVD on the recorder the DVD doesn't work on any other recorder. I realize that you have to finalize the disc before it can be played on other recorders, but what the company does not tell you is that you need very special DVD's to work on this recorder. You cannot just go in and buy DVD-R or DVD-RW.Not only takes a certain speed in these categories but you have to buy the right versions, which is the fine print on the back of the DVD labels.

It is so complicated your better off sticking with another brand.

Also the customer service telephone line stinks. You call and wait for an hour and then they transfer you to an answering machine.

DON'T BUTY EMERSON.
