National Breeders

National Breeders National Breeders September 7, 2005 On September 5, 2004 we fell in love and subsequently purchased our Labrador Retriever.
Although he was extremely pricey for our budget ($1800) we were informed that he had a series of vaccinations and that he was to date "healthy." Additionally, we were given a Pet Health Warranty Contract, indicating at the time of purchase, our puppy was considered fit for purchase, and that if for any reason we found him otherwise, we would be able to submit a claim and be reimbursed all medical/veterinarian expenses.
At the time, we thought it was a good deal. While we were visiting with our puppy however, we noticed that he had a slight cough. The salesperson assured us that he was indeed fine, and was probably "coughing" on his toy. Well, needless to say, by the time we got him home, the cough continued to increase. We immediately took our puppy to the veterinarian who was recommended by National Breeders (Central Monmouth Animal Hospital in Freehold, NJ). The first question the vet asked me was where we purchased our dog. The moment I said National Breeders, the vet commented that they (national breeders) has a history of selling "unfit" dogs. Our puppy was subsequently treated for Kennel cough and I was left with a $50 bill. I immediately referred to my Pet Health Warranty Contract and submitted all necessary paperwork, thinking that after paying such an exorbitant amount for our dog ($1800) they would defintitely make good on the contact and reimburse us the $50. Well we were subsequently "denied" and not reason was even given to us as to why.
