2003 Honda VTX 1800 C Motorcycle

September 7, 2005

Hi,

Let me state that I love this motorcycle and am mostly happy with it. I purchased it new and now have 4000 miles on it with no problems.

My only complaint is this, I've owned many motorcycles through the 40 years I've been driving them, all have had self canceling turn signals. The VTX turn signals must be manually canceled. So what's the problem, well myself and everyone I know seems to forget to cancel the signal. So whatever signal is on stays on, this tells oncoming traffic that you are about to turn when in fact your not. You just forgot to turn it off. Most people are used to their previous cycles doing this automatically. You can see how this may cause a problem. The aftermarket parts manufactures have a part that costs $100 that will make these turn signals perform automatically. Myself and others feel that after having spent in excess of $10,000 for these cycles that we have spent enough and this should be basic equipment.

Not to mention it will probably save lives and prevent people from suing Honda. This is a

safety issue and should be addressed by Honda and installed at their expense.

Sincerely,
