Subscriber Services, Inc. P.O. Box 741112 Arvada, Colorado 80006-1112 I am a Freshman in college and recently received a postcard to call a phone number which turned out to be Subscriber Services, Inc. They offered me subscriptions for 6 magazines, some for 2 years and some for 5 years. They will be charging my credit card for $39.98 each month. I called to cancel and they informed me that I cannot cancel. I really will not have time to read all these magazines and certainly do not need to spend my money this way. I am going to cancel my credit card and send the magazines back when I receive them since this company said I could not cancel. I think it is ridiculous that a person cannot change their mind. They claim they have already paid the magazine company for these magazines. I think it is a shame that this company is taking advantage of an unsuspecting consumer. I plan to write to the NYS official, Elliott Spitzer, too.
