fraudulent charges fraudulent charges September 7, 2005 When I updated my RCN services (to include their cable modem services) RCN also switched my long distance services to them, which I was not informed. When I got my RCN bill I was charged by RCN with my long distance. I told them that I did not give them permission to switch my long distance to their company. I asked RCN to switch me back to my original long distance company, which was Primus. Instead of switching me back to Primus, without my knowledge I was switched to Sprint. I used to call overseas on a weekly basis. I received a bill from Sprint for a 108 minutes (4.63 per minute), which amounted to 590.47 including taxes. I did not allow RCN phone (my local phone carrier) to switch to Sprint as my long distance carrier. Primus is my long distance carrier and I been their customer for a long period of time, which I only pay 14 cents a minute. Now I called Sprint. Sprint told me to resolve my problem with Primus and RCN. I called Primus and told me that it was not their fault. Lastly I called RCN to resolve the problem. RCN told me that it was Primus fault and not theirs. I am a victim of this switching of long distance carrier without my permission. Now I am being penalized for their fault. Can you help me resolve my problem? Any assistance you can extend will be highly appreciated. $590.47 is a big amount for me. Thank you in advance.
