Bank - charge card offerings

Bank - charge card offerings Bank - charge card offerings September 6, 2005 Chase Manhatten Bank, Palatine IL Credit card product offerings Chase monthly sends out blank checks with their charge card statements. The blank checks are not requested by charge card holder. The information provided on the check regarding fees and costs is not disclosed however interest rate information is provided. Within the text a statement is made to refer to the account origination documents for additional information. I feel that partial disclosures are provided with the intent of misleading the customer to believe that the what they see is what they get. I, for the first time, used 2 of these checks only to find that the fees were extremely high and the finance charges are charged differently than the credit card. III believe these types of marketing behaviors by large, and supposedly credible banks, should be examined. There is no need to play bait and switch with credit card holders in good standing. Is there a government agency that monitors this behavior? P.
