I adopted a kitten from the Petco Store on 25101 Jamacha Rd, in El Cajon, CA on 9-24-2005. Petco has no involvement with the Adoption drives except to offer it's facilities. El Cajon Animal Rescue, operated by Marianne Accorsi was the agency have the drive this past weekend. I adopted an 8 week old kitten. The typical paperwork you sign states that your adopting the animal "As Is" and it is recommended that you have the animal checked out by a veterinarian with 7 days. I am now $300 in debt to the Vet because this Animal Rescue is adopting out sick animals! Not only is it not fair to the Adopters, but it's inhumane to the animals!
