Ebillit fraudulently charged my Verizon bill for AOL services I never ordered Ebillit fraudulently charged my Verizon bill for AOL services I never ordered September 29, 2005 I ordered a residential fax line for my house. It is strictly a fax line, therefore I did not add any extra services on the line. I got my first bill and it was fine. I got my second bill and suddenly there were charges for AOL. I did not order the AOL service and made it a point to call Ebillit the next day. I called the number on my bill and was told to fax a letter stating that I wanted the service and charges removed from my bill. I faxed the letter and received the confirmation sheet from my fax machine stating that the letter had gone through successfully. I just got my latest bill from Verizon and the charges are still there. I am not totally surprised by this fact, but am more irritated that these kinds of things can happen to honest consumers. I thought these kinds of "slamming" tactics had been outlawed.
