Casa Punta Banco Vacation Rental, Costa Rica

Just over a month ago I sent an $800 deposit for a beachfront rental property in Costa Rica called Casa

Punta Banco. I had exchanged multiple emails with the owner of the propety over the availabilty of the house for the week of my vacation. After I sent deposit everything seemed in order until today when I was informed that they had double booked the property and the other booking was made previous to mine, and they would liek to know if I was available at a different time. I am not, so I am back to square one for planning my vacation. How they could have held two different deposits for the same dates for over a month is beyond me. It makes me wonder if perhaps I simply got bumped for a customer who wanted to book two weeks, offered to pay more, or perhaps I will have a difficult time getting my $800 deposit from Casa Punta Banco.
