Time Warner is down all the time and cannot fix their product Time Warner is down all the time and cannot fix their product September 29, 2005 Hi I am writing to try and get someone to change something at Time Warner. The customer service is very bad and almost calls customers a liar. I have been down again for over 10 days and have called September 18th, 21st, 24th, 26th, 27th and finally the 29th and nothing is still working . I would have liked to have cable before the hurricane hit so I could know what I should have done during the storm but it was down again. When is the cable industry going to be deregulated so we have a choice and not keep getting lousy service and always being asked this is just your problem as no one else has reported it? I try and tell them I have gone to 5 or 6 neighbors and again they wont believe me. How can Time Warner even think of providing phone service when the cable is down for weeks? This is poor management and poor planning on their part. I have written the TCTA and complained to this of the lousy service. Please deregulate the industry so we can get descent service and descent call center help to help us the customer. It is sad that the power and telephone industry have come around and give people a choice but the cable industry has locked the customer in a no win situation and to heck with the customer. I can understand a hurricane for the safety of the personnel but do not use that as an excuse of poor service. Update I had a tech come out from Time Warner and they found the power supply, control circuit and the cable bad. They fixed the power supply and the bad circuit but they have to open a requisition to dig up the back yard which may take 30 to 60 days. I am sp impressed with the way time warner works. I called the supervisor and I asked her when was this going to be fixed and all she could say was she would try and hurry it up and I said why cant you put in a temporary cable until you could dig up the old bad cable and put in the new one. The supervisor said can you do that? I am in the wrong business. I am coming to the conclusion that time warner does not want to fix my problem or even care if I am a customer. I have started putting signs in my yard and in our subdivision saying do not buy time warner as you cannot get any service and they are unreliable. We have been with no cable and internet service for 12 days. I have contacted SBC for DSL as I think they at least care that I can get a internet connection.
