I recv'd a phone call from earthlink offering dsl set up new to fountain hills for $21.95 a month including modem and activation..after the 6th month it.would go up to $39.95 with a yr's agreement..I agreed to this. June 2005, eartlink yanked $96.56 out of my cecking account with the explanation that we did'nt return the defective modem within the alotted timeframe but when they found out we did send it back and that they did receive it, they were going to credit my checking acct $49.95 within 5 to 7 business days..today, end of sept 2005 no credit to that effect...they did credit my earthlink acct $29.95 for overusage of 4 hrs on our dial up which they never told us about to begin with and some other charge about virus protection was credited..which also was never ord'd....numerous phone calls to earthlink with ongoing promises that they were going to credit my acc't even with confirmed confirmation #'s which didn't hold any water...still waiting......
