Product: BAC Autovantage (888-657-2733)

Company: Bank of America

Location: US

Category: Business, Finances

On September 19, 2005 I received my VISA billing from Bank of America. There was one charge from BAC Autovantage. I called customer service and was told this was a third party vendor that Bank of America contracted with that provided service similar to AAA. Since we already have AAA in addition to road side assistance from our dealers, I was shocked. I was unable to reach the affiliate directly due to hurricane conditions in Texas. The customer service manager at Bank of America was insulting when she offered me a $50.00 credit for last year's charge that I paid by mistake. Tomorrow I will go to my branch manager and demand that these two charges be reversed. Needless to say, I have canceled the card. I cannot believe that Bank of America is allowing its customers to be victimized in this manner. Something must be done to stop this. Charles
