JCPenney Catalog Internet Orders

On September 14th my husband and I placed an Internet order for nursery furniture for twins. With an online promotion and received 15% off the total order. Once the order was done we authorized JCPenneys to charge our Visa $1367.22 for all the furniture, shipping and taxes. We were very pleased and received an email order confirmation from JCPenney. GREAT! Or so we thought. The following day items starting invoicing. This is where the problem begins. First was the changing table pad. It invoiced for the correct amount and was shipped within the next couple of days as a separate order. JCPenney charged our account for $32.74, which was the accurate amount. Then on Sept. 18th the crib mattresses invoiced. They invoiced for the original amount without the discount. They were attempting to charge us $212.99 which was $33.60 MORE than we authorized. So immediately my husband calls JCPenney about the discrepancy. Customer Service (1-800-322-1189) assured my husband that because the items hadn't shipped yet that the problem would be taken care of. They were putting in an Internet request to the Factory Ship department to adjust the price. So we took their words for it. On Sept 24th JCPenney stole from us. Plain and simple. We authorized and specific amount to be billed to our Visa and they over billed for $212.99. Yet again, we called Customer Service. They didn't seem to have any clue what the problem was. They gave us the run around transferring us from supervisor to supervisor all of whom were completely unqualified to even be dealing in customer service. Three days later on the 27th we received a credit back. Now let back track, we are still missing the furniture. On September 21st the two cribs, changing table and dresser all invoiced. All of which was invoiced at the wrong price. So we called JCPenney yet again about the problem. They again reassured us that because nothing has shipped the prices would be adjusted. OK. Well on the 30th the dresser shipped. We waited and watched our account. On October 1st JCPenney charged our account for $324.94 which was $47.70 MORE than we authorized. Again JCPenney STOLE from us. Livid my husband calls them. Goes through everything I have just described to you. Everyone is blaming the Factory Ship department that they aren't reading their Internet requests. So how about telling them to fix it?! The Customer Service Rep. told my husband that if she calls Factory Ship they will just yell at her and there is nothing she can do. So again we are transferred to numerous supervisors demanding a refund and the problem to be fixed. On October 4th we received a refund. So we are still missing two cribs and the changing table. All of which was GARUNTEED to ship with in two weeks from purchase (Sept. 28th). So I call Customer Service to find out where my furniture is. They say don't worry its supposed to ship today (the 4th). Well it never ships. So I call again on the 5th, same story, don't worry its going to ship today. Doesn't ship! I call again on the 6th, now I'm pissed. I get this guy named Bill on the phone. Oh sorry mam your cribs are on back order until the 15th and I'm not sure why the changing table hasn't shipped. Fed up I get the number for JCPenney Corp and Customer Relations. We are still waiting for an ending to this horrible nightmare. Buyer beware! JCPenney will steal from you, lie to you and do whatever they can to pass you on to the next unqualified person.
