Countrywide Home Loans is located at 200 Continental Drive, Newark, DE 19713 I recently applied for a government loan using Countrywide. In the beginning everything was fine. A man emailed me on the this that was required. I gave him all the information. We only had about 3-4 weeks before the closing date so they were rushing. I always responded to their requirements and if there was something missing they never let me know. The closing couldn't be done. They said they needed more time. Even when I left messages asking them to return my calls, they never did. I email them to make sure that they didn't need nothing else and they said that if they needed anything else that they would contact me and let me know. I also asked them to explain somethings to me because I am a first time home buyer so I really needed to be taken by the hand on this process but they never answered back to explain my questions. Weeks went by and I got a call from a lady in underwriting at 8:15pm telling me that the loan was going to be declined because she didn't have enough prove of some deposits. She said to call back tomorrow to see what it could be done to maybe still go ahead with the loan BUT before she hanged up she said that she was still going to decline the loan. She said "I do not even have your tax returns"...well that's no reason to decline a loan I could've given them to her. I thought I gave them to her I told her, and Countrywide never called me to tell me that they were missing them. I have documents that prove the deposits but they haven't responded to the voice mail that I left them. I belive they discriminated against us even if we had the documents to prove it. She said that I should've known about the things that were missing.They were in such a hurry that they wanted to just get in off their shoulders.
