To whom this may concern:

I want to file a complaint against Rosie McCann's Irish Pub and Restaurant at Santana Row or at least warn others in the Silicon Valley about their ill behaved staff and bad management. If you are not the right person to speak to, please forward this to who can advise. Last night Oct 6th, I visited the Rosie McCann's Irish Pub and Restaurant at Santana Row to entertain several of my colleagues. Everything went as planned and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. However, towards the close of the evening, I excused myself to attend to a business call and left the pub because it was too loud. I didn't go far, I basically went across the street, and faced the pub. After not more than 5 minutes on the phone, everyone was now being forced to leave. I had two problems, I needed to close my tab and find my colleagues. When I approached the entrance, one of the staff stopped me, screaming, "We're closed," before turning away to attend to the leaving crowds. Without having a chance to explain my situation, I approached him again. This time, he grabbed my shirt, and said "get the fuck out of hear, we're closed," and then started pushing me. I was now in a state of shock, I still had not been able to explain, that I wanted to pay and that my credit card and colleagues were inside. Now, I was being physically and verbally attached. I ended up having to scream over the crowds, "I need to close my tab," but before I knew it, there were now two or three of the staff pushing and screaming. This was the utmost embarrassing situation I had ever been in. Finally, one of the staff, or manager approached the scene. I told him that, I needed to pay and that my credit card was inside. I then continued telling him that his staff got all obnoxious, without me even being able to tell them why I wanted to re-enter the pub. He then looked at me, like I was crazy. No comment; no apologies, he just told me to follow him to the bar. At this point, I was so upset and disappointed, the Rosie McCann's staff embarrassed me outside, and caused me to loose my colleagues, physically and verbally attached me and now the manager thinks I'm crazy. Here I am, asking myself, you are experiencing this all because you want to pay? It was absolutely insane!!! After signing my card, the manager told me to leave and never come back. I was devastated! Rosie McCann's Irish Pub and Restaurant is the most inhospitable pub, I have ever experienced. The staff was rude, obnoxious and unreasonable. Simply, Rosie McCann's is badly managed. I personally think the place gives the Irish a bad name and I will never suggest the pub to anyone. Most of all, it destroys Santana Row's reputation for sophisticated drinking and dining. In response to this complaint, I would like to know who can make the complaint available to the public.
