Allen & Harris estate agents

Allen & Harris estate agents Allen & Harris estate agents October 6, 2005 Allen & Harris, 84 Albany Road, Cardiff They are very untrustworthy. My offer on a flat was accepted so I arranged for the mortgage to proceed and the fees to be paid. A higher offer was then made on the flat. I have two issues with this. 1) Why was another offer taken when mine had already been accepted and we had proved ourselves as serious buyers? 2) I was not told about this until two weeks later, just before the survey was due to be carried out and then asked for a final offer on the flat. I refused to make one on principle. Apparently the vendor is able to pull out at anytime until the contracts are signed even if you've already paid for the valuation, admin costs etc. This is awful. Houses are expensive enough nowadays and as a first time buyer I haven't got money to burn or time to waste. There needs to be a change in the law to protect homebuyer's as in scotland.
