Allied Interstate

Allied Interstate Allied Interstate October 6, 2005 Hi, some collection agency gave me a call today. The told me the name is "Allied Interstate" and that they are a collection agency for Sprint. The proceeded to tell me that they have a bill in front of them from Sprint for over $3000.00. I have never had Sprint as my provider. They said my identity was probably stolen by someone. At first, I thought that was a scam. However, they had my address, my name, and the last four digits of my social security number. The lady I spoke to was pretty rude, not wanting to answer any questions I was asking her. I tried to call them back later to ask more about what I should do (close bank account, etc), but when I dial the number that flashed on my caller ID, I get a message saying "please enter your passcode" and then get cut off.
Are they even a legitimate collection agency or are they the real scam?
