I purchased a Mahogany Hendredon dining table delivered in Nov.,2004.The table was defective.I was told a tech had to come to my home and see if the table could be repaired. The wait for the tech was approx.30 days. The table could not be repaired and a new one had to be ordered. This exct scenario has been repeated 3 times. The manager Christina Dostel who has been allegedly helping me has been fairly unhelpful. After being told repeatedly by telephone service people that the best way to get help would be to go to the store where I made my purchase I finally took the afternoon off of work and went to the State St. store. After asking to see a manager I was handed a telephone and told Ms. Dostel would speak with me.In conversation she told me she was in a meeting,I replied"That I had made the trip downtown after taking the afternoon off of work and that I wanted to speak with a manager in person" She tersely replied"I'll be right there and hung up! During future conversations she had promised me compensation for the five days I have taken off work to deal with this and the HUGE inconveinence this situation has caused. In Ms.Dostel's last phone message she told us that the table had been discontinued by the manufactuer and that we could keep the table for fifty percent off of the price we paid.I say "REDICULOUS" I don't want this table unless it's in perfect condition. This is shoddy dealing and I believe I'm entitled to some major compensation.
