ER Solutions Harrasment to a Wrong Number

October 6, 2005

ER Solutions has phoned my home number 32 times over the past month with the following message "This is not a solicitation. We need the person in charge of your corporate credit decisions to call us about an important business matter.... blah, blah, blah. Please call 866-803-4864 x7716" Ok, so after hearing this on a daily basis on my home phone for over a month I called to let them know that this is not a Corporation but a private residence. After navigating through there phone message I was connected to Ms. Thomas, I started to explain that this is a private residence and not a Corporation but before I could even complete a sentence she interrupts me, a sign of poor manners - maybe. I believe, however, after reading the number of complaints that this company has received at complaint.com that it is a policy of this company to try to intimidate in order to collect on a debt- whether it is a legitimate debt or not seem not to matter. My response of course was measured and reciprocal "...Wait, I am talking now. So that means you shut-up and listen." It seems that Ms. Thomas has an aversion to being told to "...shut-up and listen." and quickly ended the call by hanging up on me. I called again, and to my satisfaction was connected to Ms. Thomas. "Ms. Thomas this is Mr. Yeager of a private residence so quite calling this number, and shut-up." Now I hang up but I call again. This time I get Voice mail, hooray! I leave the following message "Ms. Thomas, Mr. Yeager again by my count I owe you 29 more of these. So - SHUT-UP!" I guess now they know that a phone works for incoming as well as out-going calls and I hope that they have learned what rudeness gets them.

That was entirely rude of you, did you answer the phone in the first place to let them know it was a private residence or did you just keep letting it ring to voice mail? You do understand why they are rude right? Because they have to deal with people like you.. I got a call from E R Solutions and it was a wrong number, instead of avoiding the call I answered and said "I'm sorry but you have the wrong number, please remove this from the account." The person replied "I do apologize ma'am I will remove it immediately". The only reason people GET rude is because someone was being rude to them in the first place. Why don't you check your own tone before complaining about someone else.
