HP Specialist HP Specialist October 6, 2005 Hello, I would like to ask you a question. Few days ago, I wanted to get my laptop fixed, so I contacted the HP Specialsit. I called them and asked about the shipping and repairment cost, and the person who answered the phone that day told me that I don't have to pay for anything since I had a warranty. I believed their words, and just shipped my laptop and followed their instructions. Today, I got an invoice email, asking me to pay for all the shippment and the repairment. I called them back, and asked what was going on, and they explained that there was some mistake with the communication when I called them. They meant the warranty of their own firm, not the HP, and I thought they meant the HP warranty, since they didn't actually explain anything about their warranty system. I wanted to figure out the person who answered the phone that day, but they kept claiming there's no way to figure that out, and there's no place for me to complain this matter. In conclustion, I just wanted to get my laptop back without getting it fixed, but in order to do that, I have to pay for 109 dollars just for the shipping and diagnostic fee. I believe this situation was caused since the person who answered the phone gave me the wrong information, and that person has the responsibility. If I knew I had to pay for this, I wouldn't have shipped it to the HP Specialist. Is there any way for me to get my laptop back without paying this incredibile amount of money?? And where do I have to complain this matter?? I really look forward to your response.,Thank you for reading and have a nice day.
