Zoran's Hair Salon and Spa

500 Lexington Ave

New York, NY 10017

212-715-0443 I have a wedding coming up, walked pass the salon hoping to get a quote for a wedding hair updo on the day. The manager happens to be at the register, he told me it would cost around $85 and they GAURANTEE it’s the best...Yeah "GAURANTEE" was his word. I thought they were a bit over confident and at the same time I wanted to find out more. My problem is I needed to be seen early on the day as I have my make up appointment nearby, the man kindly suggested there would be NO PROBLEM opening the salon early for me, I thought how nice and its a plus point so I decided to make an appointment. I wanted to ask more questions and talk to the stylist. As I was waiting a male customer was paying for his hair cut, the manager said $30 the customer said it says his was quoted $25... there was a dispute that went on for about 5 mins then the manager finally gave up and sigh (personally I thought the manager was a bit rude and also I didn’t

think the customers haircut was worth $30) but anyways, none of my business. So I patiently waited for my soon-to-be-stylist. Finally she was free and we talked about style then I asked her about the price again she said from $150 - Oh I thought that’s nearly double as to what I was quoted but anyways I agreed and we confirmed the appointment, we also discussed she would come in early (8:30am rather than 10am in which they open) to do my hair on the day. Few weeks later I have a feeling that I should check out this salon online, look for review and to my surprise I found a complaint on complaints.com ( Zoran's Hair Salon and Spa, New York, NY - The bill was written up and it said $55.00. I told them that they told me it would cost 35) mmm... I thought that sounds familiar. So I called them up to confirm the price because I don’t want to have the start of my wedding day ruined due to a price conflict, I rang to get a piece of mind that this wouldn't happen to

me. I spoke to a lady as the manager was not in I recognize the voice it turned out to be the stylist who was going to do my hair so I asked her to confirm the wedding hair updo, she remembered me and said from $150 and also she said "my boss said I would need to charge you extra because we are opening early for you" Wasn’t that your selling point that you were opening for me I thought. What's worse is that they took my number but didn’t have the courtesy to call me to let me know were they going to do they services then charge me an arm and a leg??? I think so, same as they did to the male

customer for his haircut and C, Natalie who said they billed her more than she was quoted for the manicure & pedicure. How cunning is this manager/salon? I knew then what to do - I cancelled my appointment they lost my business. This is not a way to do business, I think they only rely on 'one-time-visit' customer and that’s only because they're lucky enough to be in a decent location but one thing they lose out on is having loyal customers and a booming business. I guess they will never have 'many-time-visit' customers. I seriously don’t recommend Zoran’s Hair Salon and Spa! E.N Click this link to e-mail the message author: Email User
