papa johns forest heights, maryland papa johns forest heights, maryland October 27, 2005 To whom it may concern: I cannot express my feelings in what I encountered on the Monday after a "Redskins" defeat as anything but appauled. Your company advertised that the Monday after a Redskins game, customers are entitled to a large pizza at the price of $7.99. Additionally a free topping for each touch down plus doubled toppings if the team wins. Needless to say that this did not occur. I called the forest heights location on Indian Head Highway, in Maryland and spoke to Chuck. He was simply rude and abrupt to my request. He said I could get only seven toppings and that was too bad as his computer would only accomodate 7 toppings and he did not design the coupon when the toppings should have totaled 14. When I visited the store, the store was crowded and all customers were told that they had ran out of toppings. I find this to be false advertisement, as we could see the pizza makers with toppings available that they refused to sell to all of the customers. Additionally, we were limited to one pizza per customer with sparse toppings of the manager's choice. Words cannot express my disgust in this situation. Apparently, no one expected the "redskins" to make seven touchdowns. However, the consumers should not suffer since your organization did not prepare properly for such a defeat. I rememebr a few weeks back we had the redskins speacial, of 8 toppings, and we gave every customer that called for the speacial the 8 toppings, the computor can do almost whatever you want, and worst case cenerio they will have to hald write it and cop for food costs in another way, maybe for doubling toppings on the people who olny ordered 4 toppings... oh and you said 7.99... ours is 8.99 + Tax and that is how all of our stores are, so for 7.99 ur getting a real deal... For an 8 topping pizza large it will cost papa johns $4.00-$6.00 in materials + labor alone to make it... that is food cost for papa johns... so I do understnad that the other manager wants to be cheap, but there is no excuse to treat you like crap, or to cut costs by the customer... I find other ways to cut costs, I will send unneeded workers home to save a buck, I never cheap the customer. Again I am very sorry for your expirience and I know they can to at least 8 toppings, and should be able to live up on thier end of the deal, even if it wasnt the management that okayed the coupon, they can handle it...
