Amazon mail in Rebates deceit Amazon mail in Rebates deceit October 27, 2005 Hello, 16 weeks ago I purchased a cell phone plan from Amazon. I sent my rebate form well within the deadline. Till todate, I haven't received the rebate. But thats not the main part of whats frustrating; during that period I have had to call them numerous times to explain my case. After transferring my call from one department to another, they would just tell you that a new rebate will have to be enterred. Which basically means, "Don't call us for another 8 weeks". I can not believe that a company like Amazon, would mislead and deceive customers like that. Never again will I shop from them.
