Maytag washer 7500 series Neptune washer. First Neptune washer was 3500 series, after months of service calls washer was replaced. My current Neptune washer has always had a mold/smell problem, clothes continue to smell after they are washed. If you wash sheets, towels or any item that you put away, the whole linen closet smells. I washed a heavy shirt in the spring and went to wear it yesterday since our weather is changing and I couldn't wear it because of the smell.
Now, I have a noise problem. June Maytag replaced the tub, pulleys etc. July, return call, August return call (4 calls in August) Sept (4 more calls) Oct 11 another return call and a scheduled call for Oct 18.
The mold/smell issue was a class action suit and the boot (I understand is being replaced. They are at least year to a year and a half behind in the replacement and extended repair said its not there problem. The noise and crunching problem, well, they just keep guessing and replacing parts. Is this really fair to the consumer?
I checked out the new Neptune washers and it seems some of these issues have been addressed so THEY ARE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM AND APPARENTLY, I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE COMPLAINING.
