2002 Acura TL-S / Automobile Transmission Problem

November 8, 2005

To whom it may concerns, I currently have the 2002 Acura TL-S. Acura announced that there is a recall on my car. Feburary, I went into Valley Stream Acura for 60,000 miles major services. The claimed that they fixed all the recalls, which including upgrade to the transmission system to avoid the problem. In March, I started to have the problem with the car. The car is not smoothly shifting gears, especially around 60 to 40 mph. I brought that down to the Valley Stream Acura for the check up. They told me that the problem is not obvious yet, and suggest me to drive that on the manual shift and keep beating on the second gear. After that, I went to Paragon Arcura located in Northern Blvd, Queens, to confirm the result from the Valley Stream Acura. The Paragon service is even worst, they told me that I have to perform certain tune up or have to pay the labor cost in order to check it for me; however, I still left the car there for check up and they said that they will call me when the car is ready. They had never called me, instead, I called them at 11:45am, 1:30pm, 2:15pm, 5:00pm to try to find out the status of my car. At 5:45pm, the last call that I made, they told me that they cannot see the problem and I still have 35000 miles more before the warranty is over, and suggest me to just drive it and told me to pickup the car at 7:00pm. I got to the shop at 6:45pm, all the service people are gone and they locked my car. It caused me many of incovinence and I had to went back the next day and claimed back my car. In Sept, I cannot stand with my car's problem anymore, I decided to try another dealer, so I went to Curry Acura at Scaresdale. I have them to fix my door module, SRS module, the rear passeger seat clip, and check on my transmission. They fixed everything for me except to check my transmission problem. They said that Valley Stream caused the transmission oil leak while I have them to do the service tune-up. They will not perform any checking unless there is nothing wrong. As a result, I got sent home again with the transmission problem still. I called the Acura Relations department, and explained to them the issue. They suggest me to try three other dealers in my area before I call them again. They told me to go to the Manhattan, Rolysn, Brooklyn dealers for this problem. If they respond me the same result, then I can call them again. All I want is just to fix my transmission problem, but it looks like I am being ignored for the Acura. Can you please provide me the advise of what should I do next? Thank you very much! Sincerely,
