Bank of Hawaii Bank of Hawaii November 7, 2005 Hi This is in regards to Bank of Hawaii and this is the complaint letter I sent to them.
I've been a customer for 5 years and have came accross some not-so-good customer service from your bank. My recent complaint is ...I thought the money was transferred into my account, however It was not in time to cover a check. So I spoke to the branch supervisor in Kapolei 11/02/2005 and after explaining my situation, she said she would reverse the charges for 2 fees (44.00 total). I checked my account and nothing was reversed. I called the bank 11/4 and spoke to the same branck supervisor. She didn't even remember speaking to me! She did not do what she promised and reverse the fees. She said she would reverse the fees 11/4 when I spoke to her and it will show in my account that night of 11/4 or am of 11/5. Well it's 11/7 and nothing was posted to my account.I know this is not usually done however I've been a loyal cusomer and when there's a problem it should be dealt with. I am not working and that small amount is all I have to live on until I start working again. Your staff seems very un-caring and unprofessional, She actually LIED to me and did not follow through with what she stated.
Another occasion I needed a new debit card and after talking to staff at the bank and SEVERAL phone calls the never followed through with a simple debit card. It took over 2 months to finally recieve it after getting a little frustrated! So I am closing my account and taking my buisness elsewhere after dealing with all of this, mabe I'll find a bank who follows through with their customers. You better re-vamp your commercial as it's false information. I am a regular person that has had difficulties with my checking account however I am a customer.
