I Purchased a Mopar DVD Entertainment system for my 2005 Durango. I Took it to Dodgeland USA to be installed. I was told it would be labor cost only. I dropped off at 8 AM was called at 9:10 AM and told it was completed. I went to pick up and was given a bill for $426.89 for 1 hr and 10 min. labor. When I questioned I was told they charge book time and because the Book states it should take 4 hrs however their tech is experienced enough to do it in 1 hr. I paid the bill, left and when I got home and proceeded to wash the vehicle I found 2 screws through the roof of my new Durango. I returned to the dealership and spoke to Robert their General Manager. He set up an Appt for 2 days later for me to drop it off and have them send it to the body shop for repairs. The next day I received a call from a young lady from the dealership asking how my service experience was. I proceeded to explain to her how I was very disappointed and upset that now my new vehicle has to be sent to the body shop and repaired. I stated to her that I had stopped payment on my check until such time as my Vehicle is repaired. Several Minutes later I received a call from Robert screaming at me saying They will not be blackmailed and he has no intension of repairing my vehicle until my check clears. I explained to him that this is my only recourse in assuring my vehicle is repaired and I have no problem paying for the work performed once my vehicle is repaired. I also made it known to him that if They were a true 5 star dealership that some type of adjustment should be made on the price they had charged me because they had damaged my vehicle. If they would have spent the 4 hrs to install the system that they charged em for and not rushed it in 1 hr to make more profit then perhaps my vehicle would not have screws through the roof. He then stated to me that he would not repair the vehicle and our conversations were over until my check clears and hung up on me. I contacted Dodge Customer service and was told to call back and ask to speak with Tom Siatta the owner, I called back and left a message for Mr Siatta to call me back. Within 10 minutes Robert had called me back and stated to me that he was part owner and that Mr Siatta does not deal with customers and Mr. Siatta would not be returning my call and hung up. I contacted Dodge Customer service once again and they stated they would forward my complaint to their regional office. 3 days later I again contacted Dodge and was told that Dodgeland would contact me and repair the vehicle and I could pay when completed. Approx 2-3 days later I received a call from Robert asking me why I had not dropped the vehicle off for repair several days before. I reminded him that he had stated to me that he "Will not repair the vehicle of have any further conversations until my check clears". He then tried to backpedal and acted like the conversations did not occur and stated as long as I lifted the stop payment on the check he would repair it. I immediately contacted the bank and lifted the stop payment on the check. The vehicle was dropped off and a loaner vehicle was given. The vehicle was dropped off on a Tuesday and was told it would be done that Friday, The vehicle was not repaired for 1 From: Message Author (click here to email author)Date: Tuesday, 08-Nov-05 00:00:00 CST Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This |
