I have seen that several people have expressed their displeasure with Aurora Loan Services- I had a horrible experience with them and wish that I could refinance my house now. They lost a payment and it took them 30 days to find out what happened. Apparently, when my bank automatically drafted the payment from my account, they left out a number in the loan account number. So when Aurora received my check and the number didn't match any of their accounts, they searched for my name- only one account came up and it wasn't mine. They applied the payment to that person's account even though nothing else on the account matched the other information on the check (both my husband's name was on the check as well as our address and both pieces of information are on our loan as well). I also found out today that that person's account number isn't even anywhere near what my account number is.
