Dan Travel of Florida Dan Travel of Florida November 6, 2005 Dan Travel of Florida issued e-tickets as requested but sent an e-mail to say the tickets would be delivered to my home address. I was on a round the world trip and requested e-tickets and they agreed. When I called them, they apologised and said it was their mistake. That night I recieved an e-mail from the courier company to say the delivery was cancelled. On arrival from Canada to Miami, I checked with Varig to see if we were OK to travel with the details I had printed from the computer. They confirmed we were on the list and told us to return the next day for the flight. Next day the Varig attendant was different and told us we were on the computer but it showed paper tickets had been issued and we had to produce them to get on the plane. We were forced to put 2 more seats on the same plane on our credit card for the same flight. We had now paid twice for the same 2 seats to Brazil and at the counter they inflated the price because it was a last minute booking. I have tried now for twelve months to get this money back from Dan Travel and from Varig. They both sound helpful but after apologising, they consistently play the situation off against each other. Dan Travel have requested proof that we bought the tickets, proof that we travelled, return of the unused paper tickets that they sent to our old address in the USA, and proof that we traveled using a new set of tickets and actually made the journey.
We have complied with all these requests including having the originals sent to us and forwarded to Dan Travel. Now that they have everything they can think of to blame for a hold-up, they have decided to stop answering e-mails. This month is the one year anniversary of when this whole charade started. Any ideas what I can do now.
