DECEPTION FROM CINGULAR

CINGULAR, anyplace , as it seems to be all the same.

I purchased 6 phones through cingular in the beginning of August, 2005, with the lore of a rebate for each phone. $50.00 rebate per phone. Which to my surprise came in the form of a $50.00 rebate visa card. Which is another pull your hair out story which I wont even get into.

Purchases were completed on the phone, I did not see the rebate form until after the fact.

I called cingular repeatedly about my rebates, as I only received 5 out of 6. Tonight I find out that there is a limit to the rebates. Shame on me for not reading the fine print before now, that there were only allowing 5 rebates, although I never thought it was an issue as I ordered from cingular via phone, and one of my big mistakes was thinking someone from cingular knew what they were talking about. Average time to make something right with cingular customer service is not less than 2 hours, I have spent the longest to date a total of 5 hours in one phone call. You are redirected multiple times and the waiting time is seems endless. I refuse to surrender in a battle that although takes forever is one I am right in. Tomorrow I tackle the cingular monster once more and try to recoup my $50.00 in one way or another.

I have many questions for cingular, but one that just really bugs me is....Why doesn't any customer service rep know the correct number to transfer you too??

I am waiting it out, but I would not recommend cingular to anyone friend or foe.

I have no respect for a company who does not have any respect for it's customers, I have read many of the complaints posted and it is all the same. Poor customer service and long wait to correct their problem.
